Drapery Study

  • 40 New Zealand dollars
  • Cuba Street

Service Description

The contribution of drapery to figurative work is immense. The basic objective is to mass the larger areas of light and shade, identifying planes of support throughout the figure, without becoming lost in the turmoil of inconsequential folds. In this respect the drapery is an advanced study, reinforcing the need for the artist to simplify and manage the effect of drapery in support of the rhythms of the figure. Drapery may be designed to enhance the composition. (Deane G. Keller)
