Building Skills: Hatching to Create Form

This study of rendering form is one of the lost skills of drawing and we are please to be able to offer this programme. Develop sound hatching practice and experience the joy of making the illusion of 3 dimensional form. We will begin by practicing straight lines, to build up 2D tonal values through the use of overlapping hatching. Then, working from 3D geometric forms, we will focus on directional hatching particular to that form. Confidence in 'hatching for form' contributes to the authority of work.
