Learn composition by ignoring the temptation to finish each object, instead set out a scaffold for all the forms. This will reveal unexpected correlation of forms and assist the inter-weaving of background, mid and foreground objects. From this thorough beginning, as student work shows sufficient progress, they will be introduced to the oil wipe-out process, effectively drawing with oil paint.
