Drawing Strategies for Professionals
Diverse approaches to drawing: exercises in materials handling, figure structure and composition.
Service Description
In recent decades, drawing has suffered something of an eclipse when all practical education at tertiary level was abandoned. As a result, today much student work involves copying photographs. This course will center on the human form, providing useful, practical drawing strategies, with appropriate materials to heighten the exercises. We will cover well-known and forgotten aspects of constructive and inventive drawing, offering clear teachable processes for diverse materials, including oil paint wipe-out procedure. The studio will supply all necessary materials. • Charcoal • Red chalk • Ink and wash • Acrylic wash and red chalk drawing (& aqua crayon) • Oil wipe-out
